L'invito — The invitation

Three days at the foot
of Monte Pisano.

We're getting married at Villa Scorzi, a 14th-century manor in the Valgraziosa valley outside Pisa — six hectares of park, two courtyards, a rose garden that comes into bloom in May, and a 17th-century grotto encrusted with shells and amber stone. We'd love you there for all of it.

Pisa airport is fifteen minutes away. Florence is an hour. Come early, stay late, and let us feed you.

La villa — The place

Villa Scorzi

Built in the 1300s as a rural holding and taken over by the Scorzi, Counts of Pisa, as their country house. It has been added to for seven centuries — you can read the styles stacking up on top of each other as you walk through it. The view runs from the Arno to the Leaning Tower.

Everything across the three days happens inside the estate or a short walk from it. You will not need to drive anywhere in the dark.

La nostra storia — Our story

How we got
from there to here.

A girl walks into a bar…

Alyssa walked into Velvet Belly on a snowy Thursday in February, where Gio had been bartending for a little under a year since moving back to Rochester. Glances were exchanged across the room, and an unassuming winter night quietly turned into the one that changed everything.

Over the months that followed, Gio slowly won her over, and the two of them began building what would become the foundation of everything since.

This February marked five years of adventures and growing up together — as a family, Athena very much included.

Why Italy?

On the first of July, 2024, on a terrace above Sorrento, Giovanni asked Alyssa to marry him — just days before his birthday, and the best gift he could ever have asked for: a promise to spend the rest of his life beside his best friend.

Between Alyssa's life as a sommelier and the love of all things Italian they've always shared, the country had long since become their happy place. There's nowhere they'd rather keep making memories, and nowhere they can imagine beginning this next chapter but here.

Everyone we love, in one valley, for three days. That's the whole idea.

Some of you are flying a very long way for this. We know what that costs, and we're not taking it lightly. We picked three days on purpose — one dinner was never going to be enough time with the people who got us here.

So come hungry, bring shoes you can walk a gravel courtyard in, and we'll see you in Tuscany.
